Your first Muay Thai class. No surprises.
Most people who don't start aren't short on motivation. They just don't know what's going to happen in that first hour, what to bring, whether they'll get hit. Here's all of it, so you arrive knowing exactly what to expect.

With me there's no beginner class with twelve people. There's a session with you, and the first one is an assessment: how you move, what you're after, and pads so you take something home.
This is the first hour with me.
One message
You message me on WhatsApp: name, experience (none, relax), what you're after. We fix a day and a place. No forms, no joining fee.
We talk and warm up
Old injuries, goal, any fears. A gentle warm-up that lets me see how you move.
Stance, feet and two strikes
How to stand, how to move your feet, and the jab and the cross. Slowly. I correct every rep. Nobody else is watching.
Pads
Short rounds with what you just learned. This is what makes you want to come back. I put the gloves on you if you've never done it.
Calm and honesty
What you did well, what we'd work on, and whether this is for you. You pay at the end, €30, cash or Bizum. No pressure to continue.
The complete list. It's short.
Don't buy anything before the first session. Everything you need, I provide.
- Training clothes. Shorts or leggings, a t-shirt. We train barefoot, so trainers are only for getting there.
- Water. A big bottle. You'll sweat more than you think.
- A small towel. Optional but appreciated.
- Gloves, wraps, shin guards, pads. I provide them. If later you want your own, I'll tell you which and where, no fashion brands or things you don't need.
- No mouthguard or groin guard on day one. There's no contact. When there is, if there is, I'll tell you well in advance.
Four things you're worried about that you shouldn't be.
Will I get hit?
No. We work technique and pads. There's no sparring until you ask and I can see you're ready. And even then, controlled.
Will I look stupid?
In front of whom? A coach who's seen ten thousand first jabs. Yours won't surprise me.
Am I too out of shape?
The first session adapts to where you are today. Fitness is the result of training, not the requirement.
What if I don't like it?
You'll have spent €30 and an hour finding out, and I'll tell you too if I think it's not a fit. No pack, no contract, no pressure.
Beginner questions.
What should I bring to my first Muay Thai class?
Training clothes, water and a bit of nerve. Gloves, wraps and pads are on me. Don't buy anything beforehand.
Do I have to spar on the first day?
No. Not the first or the tenth if you don't want to. Most of my students train technique and pads and never spar.
How long is a session and how much does it cost?
60 minutes, €30. Pay at the end. No joining fee, no contract.
Which gloves should I buy when I want my own?
For pads and bag, 12 or 14 oz from a serious brand without overpaying. I'll tell you which when the time comes. Fit matters more than the brand.
Can I learn Muay Thai from scratch with you?
Yes. Most of my students started with no experience at all. We build from wherever you are.
Now you know what to expect. Book the hour.
€30, gear included, no obligation to continue. One message and we fix a day and a place.
